Sarah Vaughan (1924 – 1990) was an American jazz singer who had the nickname "Sassy" for her style of singing. We selected this video to share with you to show you an example of extraordinary "scat" singing, where the vocalist uses her voice as an instrument, singing sounds instead of words.
