CARYATID: A supporting column sculptured in the form of a draped female figure.

BLACK FIGURE VASE PAINTING: In black-figure vase painting, figures and designs were painted on the vase with a
type of clay found near Athens which had a lot of iron in it, so it looked black when it was wet and it stayed black when fired in
the oven.
