Ask Salvador Dali a question

Salvador Dali, Surrealist PainterSalvador Dali was born on May 11, 1904, in the town of Figueres, in Spain. He started drawing and painting as a young boy. His parents encouraged his talents, and he won recognition for his drawings as early as age 13. At age 17, he went to study art in Madrid. He later left the academy, and in the late 1920's became interested in the art of the Surrealists.

Dali's odd and dreamlike paintings made him one of the most famous Surrealist artists of all time, and his eccentric personality gathered great attention as well. His famous quote was "The only difference between me and a madman is that I'm not mad."
